Financial Sector Manpower Survey

Introduction

To ensure the adequacy of manpower within the financial sector, BDCB conducts a comprehensive survey to collect and analyse relevant workforce information.

The primary goal of the survey is to understand the sector’s manpower demand, discern emerging employment trends, and identify potential gaps in skills and qualifications. This survey examines various workforce aspects, including employee numbers, business areas, job positions, qualifications, work experiences, and areas of study.

Objectives

Among the objectives of the surveys are to:

  • Understand manpower demand in the financial services sector;
  • Gain insights into employment trends and opportunities; and
  • Promote local employment by forecasting available job opportunities.

BDCB conducts two types of surveys to measure financial inclusion in Brunei Darussalam. They are as follows:

All licensed financial institutions that offer retail products are required to submit their data according to the following requirements:

Current Workforce:

Data as of 31 December of the previous year


Future Workforce Needs:

Data range between 1 January and 31 December of the current year

Data Submission Deadline No later than 31 March of the current year
