Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) and the Ministry of Education (MOE) continued the National Savings Day (NSD) 2024 Financial Awareness Roadshow in Temburong on Thursday, 6 Zulhijjah 1445 corresponding to 13 June 2024.
This third roadshow, held at Sekolah Rendah Rataie, Mukim Bokok, Temburong, was held in collaboration with the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Tabung Amanah Pekerja (TAP), Cyber Security Brunei (CSB), and Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei.
Attending as the guest of honour was Yang Mulia Hajah Mahani binti Haji Mohsin, Assistant Managing Director, Regulatory and Supervision, BDCB. Senior officers from MOE and BDCB were also in attendance at the roadshow.
More than 380 Years 3 to 5 students from both government and private primary schools under the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs took part in activities that introduced financial topics such as savings, takaful and insurance, retirement planning, and financial consumer protection.
Another two roadshows will be conducted for NSD 2024, which are aimed for primary school students of Year 3 to Year 5. The next roadshow will be held at Pusat Tingkatan Enam Tutong on 27 June 2024, and the final roadshow will be at Pusat Tingkatan Enam Sengkurong on 3 July 2024.
NSD 2024 will also feature a Financial Fun Fair in August 2024. This fun fair, planned to take place at Jerudong Park Playground, will host family-friendly activities and programmes suitable for all ages.
