Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB), as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts, donated 26 pieces of repurposed information technology assets, consisting of 13 servers and 13 network devices, to the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Jefri Bolkiah Campus.
The handover ceremony took place at IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus in Kuala Belait. BDCB was represented by Yang Mulia Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat, Assistant Managing Director, Corporate Development as well as senior officers and members of the BDCB CSR Committee.
These upcycled assets remain in excellent condition and are fully functional, with the capability of supporting virtual machine resources. By giving these assets a second life, BDCB not only supports sustainability but also aims to significantly enhance learning opportunities for students at the campus.
This initiative also underscores BDCB’s commitment to community development, fostering educational advancement, and supporting skill development to empower the country’s future workforce.
