Finance providers are entities that are licensed to conduct business of finance providing. In Brunei Darussalam, the existing types of business of finance providing are Pawnbrokers and Moneylenders.
Pawnbrokers are any person who carries a business of receiving articles from pawners as security and grants them credit/finance under the provisions of Pawnbrokers Order, 2002.
Moneylenders are any person who habitually lends money at interest, as defined in the Moneylenders Act, Cap 62.
