Data compilation is based on the loans/financings that have been successfully reported to Credit Bureau and is as of 1 May 2023.
The type of interest rate reported to Credit Bureau is of Effective Interest Rate (EIR) or Annualised Profit Rate (APR) i.e. the actual interest/profit rate charged taking into account the amount of the loan/financing, tenor of the loan/financing and the frequency of instalments. For more information, please refer to BDCB's Notice on Credit (Financing Facilities) issued in 2009.
Only loans/financings that have been approved during the specified quarter are included in the data compilation.
Mode lending rate refers to the lending rate that is most frequently granted by the banks on newly approved loans/financing to the customer in the quarter. The data excludes loan/financing granted to bank employees.
"n.a" denotes no new loans/financing were approved in the quarter.
Bank of China (Brunei Branch) and UOB (Brunei Branch) currently do not offer any retail products.
